You should protect your recorder from extreme temperatures. Make sure it isn’t face direct sunshine or luminous heat. This is mostly relate to wooden recorders, but also a good method for any type.
Always clean your instrument after using it. You can do that with a cleaning stick or with warm tap water in case of plastic instruments.
After cleaning and drying your recorder always put it back into its case.
